Main Contract Launch Event
Sir Frank Lampl, (Bovis Life President), Sir Joe Dwyer, (Liverpool Vision Chair), and Councillor Mike Storey OBE attended the launch of the main construction contract in October.
The event included presentations by scheme architect Chris Wilkinson, Chief Executive of the Liverpool Arena and Convention Centre Bob Prattey, and Bovis Project Manager Peter Roberts. View images
Construction Update
Initial phases have included site strip and breaking out existing tarmac, car park barriers and soft landscaping. Work is now underway on excavation and piling. Site hoardings are almost complete. Work on the three sub-stations is well advanced and much of the access road parallel to Wapping Dock has been completed. View Newsletter
Temporary Access and Car Parking
Construction work at the north west corner of the site has necessitated the temporary closure of access from Gower Street to the riverfront. Following discussions with Albert Dock businesses and the two hotels , leaflets and posters advising visitors of alternative access arrangements have been produced. View Brochure
