Construction Update - Main Contract

Work on the arena and convention centre is proceeding well. Excavation is complete, piling is almost complete, the ground floor slab is being laid and fabrication of steelwork has commenced. View images


Construction Update - Infrastructure

Servicing diversions are complete and road works well advanced. Junction improvements at the main site entrance have commenced. Steelwork for the sub-stations has been erected, and brickwork started. Completion date for the overall contract is July 2006. View images


Hotel Development

A detailed planning application has been submitted for a 310 bedroom "3 star plus" Jurys Inn Hotel and a 132 BDL "Staybridge" Hotel. The scheme has been designed by architects Urban Innovations and submitted by hotel operator Jurys Doyle and developer/contractor McAleer and Rushe. Construction will start late 2006. View images


Residential

David McLean Developments and City Lofts are working on the final details of a planning application for a scheme designed by architects Glenn Howells comprising 390 one and two bedroom apartments in three towers, the tallest 21 storeys. Construction is scheduled to start in mid 2006.


Barlows Lane School
