Masterplan - Supporting Uses

Public open space is provided in the piazza adjoining the arena and convention centre, and in a series of squares and gardens along the central spine road, on the waterfront and within the main residential blocks. These spaces will provide places to meet and socialise, with residential parks and play areas offering a safe and peaceful environment for families.

Over 1700 residential units are proposed, concentrated to the south and taking advantage of the waterside setting with views towards the city, the river and the Wirral. Different types and tenure of housing will meet differing demands and aspirations.

Community facilities and retail outlets catering for local 'neighbourhood' needs are located along the central spine road and adjoining the internal residential squares.
